Check For Bounced Emails

Are you getting an error when trying to email a Quote or Order

In CounterGo you can check for Bounced Emails under Settings. The Details column indicates whether the bounce was due to an incorrect email address, or if the email was marked as spam.

We may be able to help if your email was filtered as spam by your customer's email provider. This is known as a spam notification. Email us at support@moraware.com with the email address you need us to reset.

If your email was marked as spam by a person clicking a "this is spam" or similar option, we can not reactivate the email. This is known as a spam complaint.

  1. Go to Settings > Quote & Order > Bounced Email and click on the Check for bounced email button at the top.
  2. Here you can see the Bounce Type, as well as the Details if it was marked as spam or if the email address, or mailbox, could not be found.

Some common errors and their meaning include:

406 Error A previous email has been marked as spam by your customer.
SMTP 550 A general undeliverable message failure
SMTP 550 5.1.1 A "hard bounce". The email account that you tried to reach does not exist.
SMTP 552 4.2.2 A "soft bounce", e.g. the recipient's inbox is out of storage space.
SMTP 550 4.4.7 Expired message. This is an error from the server that should have received the email. Our email sender was unable to deliver the message within a sufficient amount of time and gave up. If you have the recipient email address we can check status on our side.
SMTP 550 4.4.7 Is "undeliverable". The receiving server indicated that it is temporarily unable to deliver this message to the recipient’s inbox. Resending the message again may work, but this particular message will not be delivered.
